First Steps Preschool and Learning Center is one of the many ministries of Evangel Assembly of God. We believe it is our responsibility and privilege to help our preschool parents educate their children to be well adjusted happy youths and adults. We provide the best quality early childhood experience possible in a caring, loving environment. Our mission is to help children grow in their skills and abilities by providing developmentally appropriate activities. These activities are designed to help children grow socially, emotionally, intellectually, spiritually and physically.

Chastity Jarvis, Preschool Director
Chastity Jarvis is our Preschool Director. She has a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction for Early Childhood Education. She is certified by the State of Ohio to teach children birth through third grade. She taught for Canton City School District from 1999-2003, during which time her preschool site received national accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children-an award that only 7% of early childhood sites hold in the United States. Chastity is married to Tom and the mother of two small girls, Zoe and Grace.
